Could anybody the best venues for a young rock band to play in Sheffield? cos i don't live here & i ain't got a clue about the local music scene.....

There's a half decent place called The Classic Rock Bar that seems to get a following on here for some reason.......;)

You might try 'The Boardwalk' too...

Try: (first 3 on list are your best bet - I would go for The Casbah as they have late gigs and a 2am bar Mon-Fri)

- The Casbah
- The Grapes
- The Boardwalk

- The Fez Club
- support acts for gigs at The Fuzz Club (Sheff Uni) and The Leadmill
- Corporation (for heavier bands)
- Classic Rock Bar (if you like it really dirty)

NB. Be warned though that Sheffielders are lazy asses when it comes to getting their ears out and listening to live bands!
