I fear it's time to upgrade my PC. I'm processing lots of photos at the moment and the P4 2.4GHZ (overclocked to 2.7GHZ) and 1GB of RAM is struggling, compared to my dx2450 (http://www.dabs4work.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=556R) at work.

I can't decide whether to just upgrade the mobo in my existing system, or start afresh with a new branded PC.

Something along the lines of, well:

or

although I'd rather put my Beeb Micro back into full service than buy an Acer.

I just bought a Quad running at 9.6ghz with 2g Ram, 1gig gfx and 800gHD for a little under £300. SMOKIN'

Bought for the lad for xmas, Ive played on it a few times since delivery, and for movie editing compared to the Duo 5ghz I'm on now it smokes!!!!

Comparison, compressed and published a high def video on the Duo, 6 minutes, with the quad 45 seconds. :o

:hihi:

Nice, branded? And where did you get it from?
