View Full Version : Buying on Albany Road in Nether Edge?

Hi, please can anyone give me advice? We've just put an offer on a semi on Albany Rd at the asking price (250k).

However, colleagues at work today have warned me off preceding with the offer, as there are allegedly gangs of kids harassing residents, car stereos booming and engines revving. In addition, I've been told that there might be structural issues with the street properties, even the renovated ones.

Please can anyone tell me if this is a bad place to buy a property in terms of the neighbourhood, dodgy structures and crime/muggings etc?

I think that the house is fantastic but this scares the hell out of me!

Many thanks in advance,

Tigs

I'd say it's a reasonable area. Going further north towards Sharrow i think is not as nice whereas further south-west more into Nether Edge there are probably nicer areas than albany road, but overall not a bad area at all. It's an area i'd consider living in.
