Hi

I'm wanting to speed up my parents pc with some more memory.
It's an Intel P4 2.8Ghz, with 512MB of DDR RAM (2 sticks of 256MB, PC3200).
CPU-Z says that the DRAM Freq is 200Mhz.
I've found 2 different makes of 1GB sticks for between £33 & £39 but both have a DRAM Freq of 400Mhz.
If I put in one of the 1GB 400Mhz into the PC, will it work with the 200Mhz sticks or would I just be best to put in the 400Mhz on it's own?

Thanks

TRUST me. This is what you want:

Take the two in it, and throw them away. Put these in.

'nuff said.

(Note this is 2GB for £40 - if you definitely only want 1GB then you want this for £25: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/partspecs.aspx?IMODULE=CT2KIT6464Z40B)

cool thanks for that, have today ordered 2 x1GB sticks, which should do the trick nicely!
