We may have lost last night on penalties but the whole team were superb and I am devastated that we lost, especially seeing as we completely dominated the entire 120 minutes.
Whether, like me, you were at the game or watched it on telly I think most people will agree that Tranmere were the far superior side. Tranmere Vs Shef wed would have made for such a better final.

Next Season - Rovers to go up for sure. Autonmatic would be a much better route to take tho.

On a final point who replaced Beresford with a footballer! I have complained about his lack luster performances all season but last night he weas fantastic!

I feel sorry for tranmere, 10 points clear in 3rd place and its the teams in 5+6 who go to the final, what can i say but lifes a bitch, yes im gonna cardiff with the wednesday mob, but im no fan of the playoffs it should be 3up-3down, and not these money making games.
good luck next season tranmere.

Tranmere had too much of a hill to climb after losing the first leg, in which Adam Boyd was excellent. He really is one to watch out for in the final.

I doubt they'll get automatic promotion next year, to be honest. I think it will be Forest and Bristol City who go up.

I agree with you Greenback on the Adam Boyd comment, he was clinical in his finishing in the first leg and it was always going to be a struggle, however if he is man marked he becomes very average, as shown in our home game, he barley had a chance.

On the issue of promotion next season, I am always optimistic what we can do. We have managed a few stunning results in the past few years, 4-3 against Southampton (We were 3-0 down with 30mins to go) being one of the greatest football games ive ever been to. We have been mainting steady progress in league 1 over the previous few season and I think we have a good chance of Automatic, if we performed anything near the standard that we played in the home leg of the play offs then I think we will definately be in the running.

Madowl: Good luck to Shef wed in the play off's. The playoffs are very bitter sweet, yes moneymaking (hopefully some going to the clubs) but it is bloody exciting.
