I went in 2003, won tickets on here - even got a phone call from the great Geoff himself!

Yes but who drummed?

I was a budding drummer myself around the time of Level 42 and Phil Gould was magnificent - his whole style (hitting the hats with his left hand on a right-handed set-up) and jazzy feel on basically 4/4 songs. (True his dress sense wasn't quite so impressive...)

Then they replaced him with Gary Husband. Not a bad replacement but I felt they lost a lot of the Level 42 sound with Phil going (although 1988's Staring At The Sun was still a cracking record).

They are very good musos though.

Me too - I loved how he worked all the Level 42 references into his show!

Yep, i was there!!! Always loved Level 42, and to be honest they were amazing!!! Mark King just gets better and better, the ways he taps that bass, slapping, popping, unreal to see live!...the action on that bass must be incredibly low. Mike Lindup, just as fantastic as ever, Great drumming from Gary Husband (never gonna be Phil Gould though) Even the support act were ok! Great night!!!!
