Hi,
My lo is 18 months old and we are on our second changing mat now, although we will soon be on the 3rd as this one is all ripped and heading the same way as the first one. They're both from mothercare and they just don't seem very good. Are they all like this? Last around 9 months and then just rip to pieces? Or can anyone recommend a good one?
Thanks.

I have only had mine for around 7 months but it seems ok so far, it came from the babycare centre in Chesterfield but I know that there are several shops in Sheffield, attached to JE James cycles shops.
Wilkinsons also do a very cheap changing mat, at least you are not spending much if you are going to have to buy a new one every 9 months.
Thanks. I got my cot from the babycare centre in Chesterfield. I might have a look in there. I've seen the Wilko one but it doesn't look very big and my lo is a big 18 month old. People always assume he's at least 2!

Ah yeah, the wilko ones are quite small. I only paid about 8 pounds for mine from the babycare centre.

I have got 2 from mothercare and I have had them for 2 years and they both look brand new. Don't know what your doing with them! lol

They just seem to get little holes in the plastic and then obviously they start to rip more. I think it's because the plastic is quite rigid and it doesn't bend so when my lo lies on it it gets stretched and just breaks in two. I've seen one that looked like it had softer, more flexible plastic but I can't remember where.
Hi, I bought mine from Mothercare, it's a really deep one: it cost £12, which is expensive for a changing mat, but after one year it looks brand new. It's not particularly pretty, just plain beige, but it's really comfy and sturdy.
