Dont know if this has been suggested but i think it would be a good idea to have a shout box on the main page maybe even at the bottom? I can never seem to get onto the chat page.

True, but I won't continually oppose the idea just because it won't affect me.

I'm going to have to say no. There's a chat already, if you have something worthwhile to say post it in an actual post in a thread. Too easy to hijack with business ads.

There is currently no plan to bring a shout box on to the forum. We have a chat room and the discussion threads and in order to bring in a shout box we'd also need to have a moderator on hand full time in order to make sure that the said shout box was being used properly and not used for spam or material that's outside forum rules for content.
