Does anyone know an ALFRED TOMLINSON(TOMMO) from Sheffield ,we think
he worked in the steel industry as a metalurgist this is a follow up question
from "Do you know this Person" which was finally answered with complete success with all the forums help.He will be in his 80 by now and is the third owner of the bike. BSARIDER.

I don't know if this is the right person, but I just looked on findmypast.com. An Alfred Tomlinson, born in Sheffield on 14 April 1918, died in Sheffield in July 1985. The 1973 Kelly's Directory lists only one Alfred Tomlinson, at 117 Dobcroft Road.

No - Kelly's had a separate "Commercial & Professional" list, which doesn't mention an Alfred Tomlinson. I looked in the list of "private residents". I have never understood what Kelly's meant by "private residents" (not all residents are listed) but here's an edited scan. Note that there is also an "Alfred E. I have spoken to Mr Marshall and he thinks Alfred Tomlinson live on
Broadfield Road,Healey S8 in the 1952/3 period can anyone confrim this
from kellys etc.al
