while browsing the internet, when i try to click on some links a blank screen just appears, so i have to right click then copy shortcut and paste the address.

is there anyway of stopping this?

Is this happening for specific sites or for all sites in general.

Reason I ask is that there was an issue where an exploit in OpenSSL (a web server module) that was being used to abuse a server so that it would randomly send out a java module that installed the byteverify trojan...

The blank page in this instance comes about because your machine is patched for the vulnerability in Internet explorer that it tries to abuse...



Of course that's just one possible cause but it's one that took me 2 weeks to diagnose and deal with on one server I work on and is still very much alive on the web...
