We had a ferret brought to us Ferret hutch rescue by the RSPCA in a bad way today. There may be more that have been dumped in a wood in rotherham canklow. 3 have been found but 2 died sadly and we have the one here. We are rushin him to the vets now as he is very thin dehydrated hungry tired. Who ever dumped them should be ashamed :rant::rant: Thankfully RSPCA are funding most of his treatment if needed so thats a bonus in his favour if he needs further treatment hope fully he will be ok
Hope fully he will pull through and be a nice little lad very young full of tics which RSPCA have front lined him already :)
we`ll keep you posted

Did you try rehydrating with the good old Glucose water solution? Poor little bugger...do they not realise a ferret cannot in a month of sunday's survive out in the wild?
That is cruel and heartless to dump a defensless creature. My spelling's crap I know but when speed typing and it's to do with animal's who bloody cares!
Oh and the chooks love the old hutch by the way!! They are going off lay at the moment due to moult but will deffo bring you some over when we are getting a few...will drop you that shredder and paper off too! Cos forgot last time...love your little fert's, just wish O/H saw it the same way but he's a townie from Flaming Darnall, not like me a country lass at heart...lol
Oh and please let us know re: any vacancies at Nor Gen, I have a very impressive CV and can deal with what we discussed on my head..lol EX SYP but got T'd off with paperwork and red tape! Go On, Say it, I don't look like one......lol many have said before!
Wildlife crime was a specialllity at H2 years ago, so care deeply about animals!

he has got loads of tics on him and are dying thankfully. his now been named chance by people on our ferret forum. When and if he gets re-homed a good loving home will be required for him. he is very trusting and loves cuddles

out of site out of mind isn't it? :( Some people seem to think they can dump any sort of domesticated animal in the woods and it will magically survive
I hope the little fella gets better soon and any more are located fast :(
