I Have Aquired A Female Kitten Which I Know Cant Stay In All The Time And Will Need To Be Spayed. I Am Currently On Benefits And Have 2 Other Cats Which I Had Ops Done At Pdsa. But Didnt Like It And It Traumatised My Animals For Weeks Due To All The Barking. So Need A Cheap Way Of Getting Her Spayed. I Must Add I Didnt Choose To Get Her She Was Unwanted And Left On Street

Try Spire at Chesterfield if you have transport - always cheaper than anyone else I've found :) Google it, or their phone number is 01246 455333 Hope that helps

Do you not qualifiy for a neutering voucher???? I might be wrong but thought you could use them at a vet of your choice?????

Well done for taking her in:)

I'd say shop around and get quotes from different vets before making your choice. They can vary wildly, as you know.

Also, even though it is beneficial to get her spayed for health reasons, she doesn't have to go out. All my cats are indoor and are fine, as long as they have enough toys and playtime to make sure they don't get bored and destructive!

I think some vets accept Cats protection league vouchers but its a long time ago so may be different now .

I really wouldn't be letting her out yet. Cats can mate as young as 4 or 5 months old and there will be some clever old Toms out there that could cause her lots of damage - as well as getting the poor little thing pregnant.

I am sure that the Sheffield RSPCA are helping with neutering vouchers for cats/kittens. Give them a call and see if you qualify.

Our vet let's you pay by instalment's as we get paid monthly, so if our mutt needs something mega we just take her, get her treated and pay what we can afford then and the rest each month, till it's paid off.
Top vet!!!! Holme Lane.

Ring the RSPCA clinic, they will give you a voucher to have your pet spayed for free, you take them along to your vet of choice (as long as they accept the voucher) as normal.
