M&S sell al the bits to make a wedding cake, including the little legs you put between layers. You could buy a cake from there, decorate it yourself, then just lie a bit.

ASDA and Sainsburys sell loads of "bits" to stick on and candles etc.

There is a cake making shop at Darnall. It sells everything to make and decorate cakes. It even hires out tins. Lots of books also to give you ideas on what to make.

Sainsburys or Tesco?

They dont have many stores though, so I'd check to find if they have any in Sheffield

Atkinsons at the bottom of the Moor, downstairs towards the back of the shop - they have a bit of all-sorts in there.

The other place that sells load of stuff is Hobbycraft at the Meadowhall retail park - you could get there by tram?

You could also buy yourself a cake dec (as those of us in the know call it lol) mag - WH Smith or wherever - Cake Decorating Monthly or somat like that........they give ideas for complete beginners (no offence meant!) and they're seasonal/topical etc.

Alternatively, the cake dec shop on the balconies above Castle Market (as mentioned already) not only have a very wide supply of trimmings, boards, ready-made edible ornaments etc, but if you tell any of the staff what you're hoping to end up with (if you know) they'll be able to send you off fully-kitted up. And if you don't know, they'll have plenty of ideas for you. As well as a range of cake dec books for you to browse thru for inspiration.

Just a thought...

Abbotts Cookshop on Abbeydale Road (opposite Oddbins) should have everything you want and they'll probably advise on recipes if you want them to
