when Winavi converts, where does the file go?
It takes a while to convert and opens a preview window, which has the file playing back to me, but then after it's done I have no options. So, I search my files for the one in question coughamoviecough then put it on nero that takes a while then my disk doesn't play, or even show that anythings been burnt onto it at all.

Anybody get all that :gag:

no.

but here goes.

unclick preview window, theres not need.

start winavi, click avi -> dvd or what ever format it is your converting too, and there are all of your options, source file, destination folder advanced.

surely thats ok?

i cant remember where the default folder is for WinAvi, maybe my videos

ok. now i've found my folders, but when i try to create my project on Nero, it gets to 40% then comes up with some error window with a load of gibberish in it, that goes on forever.

is it cos my pc's not compatible? it says on my pc; DVD/CD-RW
and the disk i'm using is DVD-R, 1-4x speed, 4.7GB and 120mins.

can anyone explain why this is happening, cos i know i've done everything right up to now with the right software.

what does the error say?
what are you trying to do in nero?

it may be the wrong format for nero to burn for the kind of file your wanting to burn?
