I’m off on holiday next week and have been looking at insurance. I’ve been in contact with Tesco and have been quoted over £80 for one week in Turkey. I’m not going to be involved in any extreme sports. The problem is that I have some pre existing conditions. They are not even conditions that are going to cause any kind of sudden crisis. Tesco said that it is high because it covers my pre existing conditions but they are stable and any deterioration would be very slow and be ok to wait till I was back in the UK to see my GP.

I feel that I’m being ripped off because I’ve got some illnesses.

I’m put off ringing round loads of companies and going through my medical history each time and no companies seem to do internet quotes for people with pre existing conditions – so does anyone have recommendations for good companies for people with pre existing conditions.

Best idea is to go to one of those compare sites. You will only have to do the information once and they will do the searching. I used one to get insurance for our adapted vehicle and saved £150. I have pre existing conditions but have never had problems going through the normal sites, just had to state my condition that's all.
