Got a parcel to send to France which is about 10Kg. However looking at the Royal Mail/Parcel Force websites they only seem to accept 5Kg for surface or airmail. I'm sure I sent about 25KG to the USA by surface mail a year or two ago though, from my Post Office. I think the limit used to be 30Kg.
Tom.
Ur best bet is to DHL it- far more trustworthy!!!

We use TNT at work to send to europe every day. Because it's the best price.
And UPS to America. But you have to do 5 declarations for customs and clearly mark where the goods were manufactured.

Just priced it up on the TNT site, seems to come out at 181 quid economy, up to 490 quid next day.. eeek!
Is there anywhere that I can take it to in Sheffield that'd be cheaper than collection?
Tom.

Have you tried sending it by Parcel force you can do this at the Post Office, only snag is there isn't a signiture at the other end, we have used it several times wthout a problem.

Can only find a 2 day guaranteed price from the parcel force website, at 53 quid ("Euro 48") They also show International Datapost, more expensive still.
Can anyone find surface mail prices from the Post Office/Parcel Force?

Try somewhere like www.postvan.co.uk, www.parcel2go.com or www.interparcel.com which for heavier parcels are generally cheaper than the post office or couriers direct.

Hmm. well we'd normally pay about £25 for economy. Maybe they don't like private customers,

I've used parcels2go in the past. I'd recommend telephoning your order though as online ones tend to get lost in the system.
