Having my boss have a go at me this mornning for something that is not my fault, and have pretty much the whole team collapse around me i thought id start a ranting thread for those of us who get mad at work. So instead of hitting your boss, get it off your chest here!
Im gonna start my saying:
"My boss is a complete dullen. It is his job to improve communication. He sent me to a GP's practice yesterday where i spend all day trying to establish network connectivity between the practice and the servers in Leeds ready for the new software - only to find after about 5 hours that the people who MAKE the software have run their own connectivity test!? AND that BT havent opened the firewall ports. So why was i there? And he alse decreed a few weeks ago that we cannot leave a surgery unless we first call him. He of course rejected my call when i was ready to leave so i spent half an hour constantly calling him, and eventually he picked up and told me "i will speak to you tomorrow mate". MATE? Im not his mate!
So today in the office he comes up to me and says "I NEVER want you to call me when im on site at a practice, and i NEVER want to hear you say 'its all a disaster' again ok?" When i tired to counter his argument he just said "NO! Let me finish - you dont ever say 'its a disaster' again - ok?" I said "Yer ok" and then he just said "right ok then" and sat down!? Then he has a go at my colleague for no apparent reason. Then he comes to me and says "I need that connectivity test from NOW...why have'nt i got it yet? Even if the tests fail i still need it"...im like its quater to nine....i have only been in the office 5 minutes and my pc isnt even switched on...but i gave it to him when i had typed it...and then he like "oh thanks bud..thats great" and he treating me like his best friend now?! :suspect:
I feel much better for that...
