why is it that sheffield homes have people sign contracts when they move into there properties and in most cases people living in tower blocks are not allowed by these agreements to keep Dogs in them, then when i have spoken to them today with regards to a nuisence dog are they not intereseted?? The dogs itself is very big and obviously very sad as it cries all day and night, iv informed the rspca but feel very let down again by sheffield homes.

Sheffield homes don't want the hassle of going to court to make these people do as they are told.
I am having a problem with a neighbour too and the asbo team are not interested cos it will cost them to persue in court as the person concerned is ignoring all their letters. Therefore i am just having to put up with the anti social behaviour. I have told them i WILL not put up with it and I am looking at other ways to sort it, legal ways i might add.

you need to contact the area manager of the area you live in, and tell them that there is a dog in the tower block, A friend of mine had this and they got the dog out straight away, keep a record of who you have spoken to and dates and times, and lets hope the dog doesnt bite you cos if it does and they knew the dog was in there, you could sue them for thousands.

All you have to do is knock up a letter that looks like its from the council telling them that you have video evidence of a dog on the premises and that they are not abiding by the terms and conditions of the tennancy ect. tell them that the home is due to be inspected in a few week with a police escort and that now would be a good time to get any canabis plants that they mighnt be growing out too (make it sound like they have more on them, even if its not true)

post it to the occupier with a hooky name like mr Cain Hinez and a dodgy phone number they cant get though on (definatly beleve its the council)

job done.

thats fantastic but is that not fraud or something? lol, i love it! once did something similar to an ex boyfriend who cheated and pretend edit was from the clinic, worked a treat.cheers. they are now letting the dog go to the toilet on the bit of grass outside the flats. nice.

Thats because there is a general shortage of council properties, and other people with priority also have to wait longer than in the past. Its been discussed and explained on numerous threads - but not on this one please.

pinupkeza - send an email to enquiries@sheffieldhomes.org.uk This will go through to a central section who will ensure it gets to the right people - in your case Hilllsborough office if you live at Upperthorpe. Let us know how you get on?

iv already contacted hillsborough. yes it is martin street, the top end. What a shame decent people cant get flats, and this may be down to the fact that they have contracts with prisons and re-habs to send so many of there ex clients to these flats and us residents have to put up with them!! if its not needles its dog poo!! what they dnt relise is its there future, our kids that are effected by this.

We have to remember that nowadays social housing is mainly for people classed as 'in need'. 3 out of every 4 properties go to priority. I'm unaware of any contracts with prisons, but obviously some ex-offenders will be rehoused. No excuse for breaking their tenancy agreement though. And if your complaint has had no response from Sheffield Homes, then the next step could be to contact your councillor(s). I've pm'd you.

1.Sheffield homes don't want the hassle of going to court to make these people do as they are told.

1. Sheffield Homes have a specialised court team so its not that they cant be bothered because people are paid specifically to do this.

2. The court costs would not be paid by Sheffield Homes but by the Tenant braking his tenancy agreement.

When signing a tenancy for a flat or maisonette you agree that no dogs will be kept in the property if you have to share an entrance.

The council will write to everyone in your block and investigate, when the proof is gathered then the owners of the dog are given 2 weeks to rehome him or face eviction.

Try the email address provided, also put your complaint into a letter and send it in to Howden House addressed to ASB Area Manager, keep records of everything you send to them.
