View Full Version : Thierry Henry out of FA cup final
Thierry Henry has been ruled out of the FA cup final against Man Utd on Saturday. Apparently he has aggravated an old Achilles injury.
I thought he was definitely going to make it. This is a major blow for Arsenal has he is virtually irreplaceable.

I think he is replaceable in this particular game, Obviously not in a whole season. I feel Reyes might be the difference for Arsenal and Rooney4 man U.
My reason is based on the fact that it's a cup final. So anything can happen!
Can't wait for all the fire works!
henrys not in the fa cup? thank god 4 that!!
Yodameister 21-05-2005, 16:33 Another fantastic year for English Football - ManU win NOTHING!!!
I don't care how dominant they were, Rooney, Ronaldo and Van Nistelrooy dived whinged and swore their way through the match, and Ronaldo cried like a girl at the end just like he did in Euro 2004. How old is he? 12?

Man U win nothing
I had a cry last week, I am 31.
So what is your point ?
Then again, he does play for Man W*nk, so I guess you can call him what you want

He deserves it
He's cheating scum
He cheated England out of Euro 2004 and if he's not falling down looking for a free kick/penalty he's getting up.

I suspect it might have been over something a little more emotional than losing a game of football?

You are soooooooooooo right about that one
Yodameister 21-05-2005, 17:08 At least with ManU losing I didn't feel that I had completely wasted 120 minutes of my life, which I would have done otherwise from such a poor game.
Arsenal played poor tactics which were not very effective in either attack or defence. Both teams were playing it pretty tight and the referee blew his whistle every time there was any physical cotact (which to be fair to him at least stopped it descending into a brawl)
So officially ManU's worst season in terms of European/League/FAcup success since at least 1989.
No team's domination lasts forever. Liverpool thought it would in the 70s and 80s and ManU thought it would in the 90s.
Well, Im gutted about losing today- but then again, I've seen 3 things that have really ****** me off more tonight.
Fergie not bringing on Howardl
I sat right at the end of the match when it was going towards penalties wishing for timbo to come on.. he came to the touchline as if he was about to come on and then was sent back by im guessing fergie, to sit with the other players...
Tim is our specialist penalty shot stopper.. carroll is ****e in penalties. Another **** up tactically again from fergie.
Giggs not starting
Why?? He is not injured.. why not start him
Players not giving a **** that they lost
In particular scholes... 2 players who have had the most stick this season in Rio and Ronaldo were in tears after losing.. paul scholes could not give a ****.. that he had basically fluffed his penalty and cost us the game....
So my fergie out campaign starts up again tonight.
And also scholes can retire this week also- I dont want to see him at OT again after that.
Congrats to arsenal though.

pmslaughing, were you looking at the same Paul Scholes that I was?
He looked gutted to me, thinking about his penalty no doubt.
I would like Scholes if he did not play for that stinking team :(

I saw scholes looking like he usally does.. a complete knob.
He didnt look bothered to me.
Rio and Ronaldo did- so I have a lot more respect for them for that.

I know your team is arrogant, but you can expect the more experienced players to be a little thicker skinned
Ryan Giggs doesn't look half as quick as he used to be.
Ousetunes 23-05-2005, 09:49 Mark Lawrenson got it right when he said Man U must feel as though they've been mugged. I saw the second half and extra time of the match and I believe Arsenal came to win the game on penalties.
They were atrocious. Talk about boring Arsenal; they weren't even that good! Okay, so you can argue that they defended well but come on, this was negative football at its worst.
I don't support either team, just wanted to watch a good match and it actually was. But I also wanted justice to be done and for Man U to win. Ronaldo and Rooney played well. Arsenal's response was to kick lumps out of any Man U player.
Viera was once again fortunate to stay on the pitch. I wish him and Keane would get in a boxing ring and get it on. Chances are, they'd run a mile.....,
angelus, i agree with ya, get ferguson out!! to think i sat there and watched this this for 2 hours n 15 mins 4 heartbreak :(
