just been driving home and there was quite a bad crash on elm lane, dont think anyone was hurt as it was only police present but they had sectioned off the road and letting single file only. it was at a junction so looked like someone had just pulled out.. anyone know anything on this?
Where abouts on Elm Lane?
it runs along the top of longley park... passes past southey green and parson cross towards firth park
edit: sorry i thought you said where is elm lane... it was just at the park, the first right turn after you drive past buchanan road heading in firth park direction. or if coming from firth park direction the bend just after fire station!
I see. For a minute I thought it might have been lower down around the road that goes down the side of the park. Over the years there has been many crashes in that spot.
I understand that there was some plans to make Elm Lane safer. I was driving along there about a year ago and noticed a sign on a lampost advertising Highway changes. I've no idea what these could be though, probably speed bumps.
no speed bumps on it, actually i dont think there have been any changes as yet.. i must admit quite a few times i have almost crashed on there as people who like to like to leave a gap (which a bus could probably get through!!) between them and the parked cars causing them to be on my side of road and nearly hitting me!
Sounds abit like a nightmare on Elm Lane.
Elm Lane has no bad junctions leading on to it.. So if their was a crash then either someone was going too fast, or someone was drunk/asleep/drugged up at the wheel.

i was so tired last night i did not write my post properly!
after the fire station (heading towards the park) there is a bend, there is a side road coming out of that bend it looked like a car had been coming out of the road when someone had hit them. the car had been hit front wing and both cars were in middle of road.
sorry for my poor reporting skills, do i get let off as i am poorly:heyhey:
