Try G-mail. It's far more reliable!

G-mail is an e-mail service offered by Google; it works in a similar way to Hotmail, but it's far more reliable.

In answer to your question, no, it can't help you with the Hotmail problem, but changing providers would help in the long run.

What happens when she tries to access the site? She may have a virus. I had one that re-directed me to an alternate site.

She isn't alone! I have been having problems too and ended up having to change my password twice. It kept saying username and id invalid.

Actually suprisingly enough, if she uses pipex then it wasn't hotmails fault but pipex's, they had some kind of routing fault but only for msn/microsoft sites, weird!

As far as I know it's all fixed now though....

Saying that, it's often down...

Originally I was with Freeserve's E-Mail, but didn't like the POP3 client system, so I moved to Hotmail - which rarely rendered itself properly. After that, I switched to Yahoo! who closed my account for an unknown reason. I also used G-Mail simultainiously with Yahoo! but it was often down... Guess where I am now... Back with Freeserve/Wanadoo (but their webmail service). We're currently with NTL, but I wouldn't trust their e-mail servers with anything, between Freeserve and NTL, we were with PlusNet (when I had Yahoo!), but we never actually used PlusNet's e-mail.
