Does anyone know of a salon that does the spray tan & how much it is?

I preferably want one either Hillsborough area or Gleadless Valley area but if anyone can recommend a really good place elsewhere I'm prepared to go further afield.

Also how long does it last as opposed to the St Tropez? & whats the difference between St Tropez airport & the normal?

I understand that St Tropez 'airport' is a booth similar to a light-tanning booth. It sprays you in a few seconds automatically rather than an assistant doing it for you.

There is a place on Surrey Street that does it, near Masarellas.

one in killamarsh is good - lasts about a week

Its alot cheaper though to buy St Tropez (body mist) and do it yourself get about 20 full applications. All deparment stores sell it.

I had spray tan at Lush last year, not impressed. It took ages for the spray to dry and ended up having to get dressed while it was still a bit wet - ruined a top.

Colour was ok but not that noticable.

I need a spray tan doing for Saturday night. I dont finish work until 5. Is there any beauty salons open on Eccleshall road after 5? I'm going to have a look tomorrow on my dinner hour, but just in case anyone knows?

There's Greens gym just off Eccy Rd - they are open until around 10pm every day and have a spray tan booth - think it's about 20 quid.

the best one iv ever been to is called PREMO just iff penistone road its a great place cheap-ish & the staff there are really fab what else could you ask for :thumbsup:

yup, scary experience, but excellent results.

basically you stand in a tiny box room( you get a sort of shower cap for your hair so no worries. you have to put a barrier cream on your hands & feet ) you press a button. and 3 hose pipe type things start sprayin all 'tan' on you. thats the scary part its noisy and you cant really breathe, lol, i dont want to put you off.

well worth it tho :thumbsup:

I am/ were considering having a spray tan, but a workmate told me that if I were to have one done, then went swimming the following day it would wash off,
Is this true? She also said that it would stain clothing and as I will be wearing white top's Im a little dubious. Can anyone help and give me some advice please. Thanks :thumbsup:

I once had a san tropez done at living well and i wore a white vest top (dont ask why!) and yes that did go grubby looking on the inside because of the tan.

I was also advised not to go swimming as that would make it come off quicker.

Also, i mentioned that i shower in the morning and have a bath at night, and was advised to have only one of these, as both would make it come off quicker! Hope that helps. x

you cant go in water untill after 24hrs after your spray tan. id personally leave it longer to be safe.
when i had mine done, my mum teld me it had left some minor stains on my clothes so yes thats a down-fall in having one.
i wouldnt wear a white top. not unless you want it orange. lol

id also recommend buying a cheap self tan just in case. i had a rimmel self tan spray at home so after its properly dryed you can see where it might have missed. better safe then sorry.

Im not sure it would wash off but I think you are supposed to leave it a few hours after a spray tan before you shower.

I've always found Kath at Brown Sugar very helpful why dont you call her and ask! The offer is still on the website - Ive used my voucher already check out www.brownsugartanning.co.uk - dont forget to print it out as you need it to claim the mins or the Mystic Tan offer.

£10 is the best Ive found.

Tannery Works on chesterfield Road in Sheffield do a great spray tan, There offer on at the min is £10, the tan usually lasts just under a week too!

I know this thread is really old, but has anyone been to Brown Sugar recently? Is it still as good? Very apprehensive, never had one before. Will they make me wear paper pants? :( :O
