For the second time today I'm playing through my Mogwai collection - Come On Die Young, Rock Action and Young Team.

Utterly beautiful, haunting, ethereal, gut-wrenchingly powerful at times, always something new to be found on each listen.

What do you think? Favourite tracks? I'd go for Dial:Revenge, Cody or Christmas Steps.

Cheers. Might just be able to make that if there's a decent late train.......

Great band. I really like the new album but I'd have to say that Young Team is their best. You should check out Sheffield's own 65 Days of Static if you like this sort of stuff.

That's when I'm going. We're driving I think. The late train is 12.15am from Manchester Picadilly....not that I've done it lots of times or anything ;)

I'll look out for them; have you heard Errors? Saw them at the Shakespeare last week and they were magnificent. Also from Glasgow and labelmates of Mogwai also I think. In a broadly similar vein albeit with a slightly more electronic/dancey type thing going on.

Cheers for the train info. That probably makes it just about do-able (although I may be a little rough around the edges at work the following day.....)

Yeah mate, seen Errors supporting 65 Days of Static! Try Explosions in the Sky as well. I listen to a lot of post rock so I can always recommend you some more stuff.
