With all the negative talk about in-active kids and obesity it was very refreshing to attend the Primary Schools Cross Country meet this morning at Hallam School. Hundreds of kids got up on a Saturday morning and took part in the event. Thanks to all the teachers and organisers that make these events run smoothly. Well done to all the youngsters that took part.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Agreed! 400+ excited and healthy kids from all over Sheffield is a fine sight. Mind you, it does help when the weather is warm(ish) and dry. Come January, the turn-out is a bit smaller...

Dunno which school his kids go to. I often used to see him philosophising in Fagan's of an evening, so it seemed odd to see him away from his natural habitat...
