Does anybody have any idea who is the current oldest, or should I say longest living, person in Sheffield. And is there any record of who was the oldest living person that lived in Sheffield. Equally tallest, shortest, most children etc. and where is this information held.

No, but my great nan lived to be 102!!

IMO, she would have lived on a few more years if she hadn't suffered a bad fall.

She was amazing healthy physically and mentally for someone her age.

There is lady in Heeley who is 105, and her husband is, I believe, 95 . I met them during the recent general election campaign whilst canvassing.

Hadn't they popped around to deliver that misdirected telegram from the queen to it's rightful owner? :hihi: ;)

Look up owdlad in the Member's List. You can also search all of his posts - though I am not necessarily recommending this course of action. As a relative nebie to the forum, I'd like you to stay around! (With apologies to owdlad).

Codeman-cas ,

Yes , Owdlad is a well known poster on S.F. His main rival is a gentleman , known as Kirky----think of Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty-----or Batman and The Riddler.
You won't have seen many of Owdlad's postings recently , as I think he often goes abroad to warmer climes for rejuvination. I think what he sees on those there foreign beaches certainly puts the colour back into his cheeks !
Welcome to S.F. We'll soon have you as mixed up as we are !
