COME ON LADS, WE'RE ONE-NIL UP, HOW CAN WE LOSE! famous last words :P Lestat 16-05-2005, 23:22 in a word . . . 'YES!' tosh13 17-05-2005, 07:28 Well done to the Owls, hope they go 1 better & achieve promotion.UP THE BLADES Ousetunes 17-05-2005, 08:59 Yes, you will. You'll have by far the majority of fans in Cardiff irrespective of who you will be playing. You're also a form team going into this match and have come good lately (ie, how many of you would have predicted getting to the play-off final a few months back?). From what little I've seen of you on TV you have one or two players who are looking good. The goalie made one of the saves of the season last night, he proved he's a real sportsman by asking the ref not to book Sodje (?) for a late tackle (so very refreshing - he also looks as though he's enjoying every minute of it); Peacock in part looks like he could become a fine centre-forward and Steve Bruce's son played like his dad used to. I can't see anyone - at that level - beating you. All the same, you shouldn't be too confident but as a Bladesfan I'm 90% sure we'll be having derbies again next season. *Ryan* 17-05-2005, 10:27 damn right they should be!! it doesnt look right wednesday being in div 1. fingers crossed 2 Addscot 18-05-2005, 09:42 I am a tranmere fan who was at the game last night and we were all over them. Currently devastated but if you saw the game you will know how one sided the contest was. Sheffield Wednesday are a much better side than hartlepool, you shouldn't have any problems. *Ryan* 18-05-2005, 09:43 i didnt see the match but man i hope your right!! bellis 18-05-2005, 12:26 there is no such thing as a easy final ,games what have looked easy have have turned into extra time and penalties saying that i do think the owls will scrape it:) uto Addscot 18-05-2005, 12:53 OK, true. It requires your team to perform well, a bit of luck etc, but there are much better opposition that you could come up against than Hartlepool. CathS 18-05-2005, 16:23 Am a Wednesday fan but even though they may be a better side i wont be counting my chickens! Robbie Loving 18-05-2005, 16:38 well.... it will be easier than tranmere, as i do think tranmere are a good side. but on a further note.... how many diff weds threads we gonna have regarding play offs/chants/games/chat? Princess_Owl 18-05-2005, 19:22 Of course wednesday will get promotion, theyve done so well to get where they are now, and it asnt been an easy ride for them, but they have proven to many what they are capable of! Shame that Mclean wont be available for the final, think it would of been a great reward for all his hard work this season! Come'on you blues! e i e i e i o up the football league we go when we get promotion this is what we'll sing we are wednesday we are wednesday Sturrock is our king! Nelly 19-05-2005, 08:06 I think the weight of support will get Wednesday promoted - al la Man City in 1999. benclements2 19-05-2005, 12:22 Well done to SWFC for getting to Cardiff. I am a Blades fan myself but think Wednesday have done well to get there, especially considering where they were when Sturrock took over. I do think however it may be a season too early for wednesday to go up. Sturrock will have a hell of a task in front of him to build a team good enough to stay in the championship where if they weren't successful in Cardiff, Sturrock could use this summer to build a team good enough to go up next season and stay up. PS. Anyone have any thoughts on Bolton Wanderers? Do they scare anyone? mclarke 26-05-2005, 07:41 I so hope they do and can't wait for Sunday! |
