Dimitri 11 10-10-2008, 19:13 19.5k as Tuesday according to someone on the SUFC forum. We've sold our allocation, maybe we could have more for the south stand? They should give us more tickets but they won't. How many season tickets do they have and what allocation did we get? Stockers 10-10-2008, 19:16 They should give us more tickets but they won't. How many season tickets do they have and what allocation did we get? we got 5.5k, i think they've sold about 8.5k season ticket holders. NERVY-OWL 10-10-2008, 19:29 the 19.5k stockers, was that including season ticket holders or is that just for the 1 derby match then another 8.5k on top for season tickets Stockers 10-10-2008, 19:37 the 19.5k stockers, was that including season ticket holders or is that just for the 1 derby match then another 8.5k on top for season tickets I'm only quoting someone off the Blades Forum, they have a post saying there are 14k tickets left for the home end. I don't know what Hillsborough holds these days, i'd guess 38k which means 24k has been sold to date between the 2 clubs with a further 8 days to go. CorkerSWFC 10-10-2008, 19:37 I,ll hazard a guess on the attendance, considering the time and day i will go for 28.792 Stockers 10-10-2008, 19:38 I,ll hazard a guess on the attendance, considering the time and day i will go for 28.792 I'd guess about 29k / 30k. CorkerSWFC 10-10-2008, 19:51 Is it on the tele i havent even bothered to check to be honest, if it is then i defo expect no more than 28-29 thousand. NERVY-OWL 10-10-2008, 19:53 yea, about 24k sold at minute then. i worked out hillsboroughs capacity at around 38k without the corner CorkerSWFC 10-10-2008, 20:15 24k with over a week to go sounds pretty promising then. NERVY-OWL 10-10-2008, 20:19 i think so, i doubt it will be less than last season anyway. does depend if the sales stockers put up are accurate, i havent seen anything of the sales so far either Michael_W 11-10-2008, 01:12 I know it's live on the box, and it's tempting to watch it in the boozer, but I urge any Wednesday fan who ain't got a ticket yet to ignore the credit crunch/recession and get there backsides down to Hillsborough and cheer the lads on a week on Sunday ! I reckon 30.000 plus, especially now I have made my plea  CorkerSWFC 11-10-2008, 08:36 I know it's live on the box, and it's tempting to watch it in the boozer, but I urge any Wednesday fan who ain't got a ticket yet to ignore the credit crunch/recession and get there backsides down to Hillsborough and cheer the lads on a week on Sunday ! Dimitri 11 11-10-2008, 12:30 Are there any restrictions on ticket sales, or are they now on general sale? The Weds. site says people who are on their database (if you've bought a ticket in last 2 years) can now buy 2 tickets. No idea if Weds are going to put them on sale to anyone - seems daft if they don't though. The more people, the more cash. CorkerSWFC 11-10-2008, 12:45 Its not just Wednesday who makes the decisions, it has to go through the safety people aswell as the police. Dimitri 11 11-10-2008, 12:55 Its not just Wednesday who makes the decisions, it has to go through the safety people aswell as the police. I didn't know that. Are there plans to make them available on general sale (i.e. to anybody)? hurstyowl 11-10-2008, 14:28 thats the only reason for higher sales, if they had stuck to the origional 2 out of 3 home game stubs no where near as many would have gone, incuding me. Mainly because i am unable to go to every home game due to uni commitments. glad to have heard about the new ticket sales. if it wasnt on tele it would fill up alot more. CorkerSWFC 11-10-2008, 19:59 Yes tele stuffs things up big time, i can't imagine how some of these scottish teams and bigger premiership teams feel. They get there fixtures played about with like you have never known. Sometimes Celtic or Rangers can go a couple of months without a 3pm Saturday kick off. And the likes of Pompey who are far from any1 get there matches changed round regurlaly. NERVY-OWL 11-10-2008, 19:59 we managed 30k last season even with the 2 ticket stub rule, so its possible we will get more this season. i doubt they will put tickets on general sale, it would be nice if they would though. I am a Blade and am now going but I would still prefer the ground to be full 'cos it's a better atmosphere. It feels better when a ground as full - I can't really explain why but it just does. Loopgarou 11-10-2008, 20:07 Try to explain Dimitri, please try. CorkerSWFC 11-10-2008, 20:33 Nowt wrong with told Dimitri he's enjoying hisen. Dimitri 11 11-10-2008, 20:57 Try to explain Dimitri, please try. Lol, it wasn't the most intellectual of posts made on this forum. I think it just seems more important when a bigger crowd is there though so that is maybe why I prefer it more when the ground is packed. I honestly hope Weds. sell as many as possible. Loopgarou 12-10-2008, 08:25 I'm a lifelong Wednesday fan and I can't get a ticket as I've just moved back to the city. Everytime I came home to see the family I bought a ticket at the match 'cos sadly, Hillsborough has hardly been sold out. I'm not on the database so I've been told that's it - no ticket. I've been watching the Owls since big Jacks day and hardly missed a home match through the Wilkinson/Atkinson period. I've spent a lot on the club over the years. CorkerSWFC 15-10-2008, 20:49 Well i went Yesterday and im sure i saw another batch of away tickets behind the counter there wernt that many though to be honest. bladebloke 15-10-2008, 21:00 Well i went Yesterday and im sure i saw another batch of away tickets behind the counter there wernt that many though to be honest. what do you mean away tkts. CorkerSWFC 15-10-2008, 21:21 Well i went for mi tickets yesterday and i saw about 400 or so tickets behind the counter on the back and almost certain they said Leppings lane away fans only on them, so either they got sent back or you are getting some more. bladebloke 15-10-2008, 21:51 Well i went for mi tickets yesterday and i saw about 400 or so tickets behind the counter on the back and almost certain they said Leppings lane away fans only on them, so either they got sent back or you are getting some more. why would we send 400 back. we want 10,000 more. we sold out ages ago. and the away corner is derelict. CorkerSWFC 15-10-2008, 22:20 why would we send 400 back. we want 10,000 more. we sold out ages ago. and the away corner is derelict. Its not derelict, it just isnt used because of the quality of viewing. And i definatly saw the unused tickets. bladebloke 16-10-2008, 07:06 Its not derelict, it just isnt used because of the quality of viewing. And i definatly saw the unused tickets. well the quality of viewing as been ok in the past. i was in there promotion season. got a great view of our victory. and you should have gone to spec savers. CorkerSWFC 16-10-2008, 09:55 Oi now then , i spotted a 47 herdings bus the other day without glasses, now thats like seeing a lake on a desert island lol. al_partridge 16-10-2008, 12:24 Well i went for mi tickets yesterday and i saw about 400 or so tickets behind the counter on the back and almost certain they said Leppings lane away fans only on them, so either they got sent back or you are getting some more. How do you know they were for Sunday though? They could have been for the next home game against Plymouth, they won't be bringing many on a Tuesday night. CorkerSWFC 16-10-2008, 12:31 Probably was i didnt see the match on them i just thought it was weird how they were there thats all, the security guard is like an army sergeant doing flips up n down the isles thinking your gonna raid the shop n that lol westilad80 18-10-2008, 08:05 I reckon 29,000 to 30,000 on Sunday, nowhere near as many as last season! Kop will still look empty as it always does unfortunatley. CorkerSWFC 18-10-2008, 08:12 The kops never been the same since the band stop playing, at time's it did bring for a good atmosphere. NERVY-OWL 18-10-2008, 14:09 ah the band, i wish they hadnt got booted out. i always enjoyed them being there even if they did sometimes just join in after the crowd started to sing. also we wouldnt have them playing music whenever we score, i hate that NERVY-OWL 18-10-2008, 14:12 btw, if anyone hasnt got a ticket i might have 1 for the kop if anyone wants it, £24 quid would have 2 give it on mtch day though Loopgarou 18-10-2008, 17:21 Still haven't been able to get a ticket! Do you still have yours going david?? NERVY-OWL 18-10-2008, 17:25 when is the very latest you need to know by?i am hoping i wont need to sell it so would like to give em tonite if they havent by then it will be available.
