Has anyone any idea how I can sort my PC connection out, I have uninstalled a version of Norton 2004 through the registry as it would not delete or uninstall in the normal way. I have put Norton 360 on but cannot connect to the net, however the funny thing is if I use my modem with it instead of the wireless router it says connected to the Internet but nothing will open it says dns error on the web pages. My laptop is working fine on the router with a wireless connection so I know the problem is on the pc, I have disabled the firewall but still will not work. Any help would be appreciated.

Dont use any norton, thats your first failing. remove Norton 360 and try again, let me know if that still doesn't work.

I removed it yesterday and it still didn't work, wanted to make sure it was ok before I put it on the laptop, never had problems with system works before.
