Does anyone else have problems with Talk Talk or is it just me?:suspect: I frequently have problems logging onto the Internet, despite being assured that this would no longer happen when we switched from the modem to wireless. I've just wasted the past hour rebooting my PC countless times, despite the fact that the WNC icon showed that the signal was of good strength.:rant::rant::rant:

I've had enough and want to switch to another Internet service provider, so suggestions and recommendations will be gratefully received.

Thanking you in advance.

Issues with TalkTalk here too... the internet is frequently (daily) dieing at any time between about 8pm and 12midnight, It was off a few minutes ago... only for 2 minutes but still...

I'd go straight back on Virgin 20mb if it was available up here :(

It's driving me nuts. I was on the verge of throwing my PC out of the window earlier.

not that I'm totally internet dependent or anything.:help:

Where's your location? Does Virgin have limited coverage then?

It is rare to find a service provider that does not have any complaints.

I have often accepted the markets disgust of TalkTalks failure at startup and believed it when folk told me of their problems.
But ... I have been with Tiscali for several years now and have recently added their phone service to my package at no extra cost.
That phone service turns out to be provided by TalkTalk!
... and works just fine.

2Mb Broadband (maybe to be 8Mb) plus telephone including weekend free to UK plus 10 countries for £14.99.

Well, am going to switch. We went with them cos we had a similar package to yours for £21.00 per month, phone line rental, local and national calls inclusive and some overseas, only not the country we do phone which is South Africa.

Ghozer - we're in S11, I have no idea whether Virgin is available in this area, but will look into it.

We did toy with the idea of switching to Sky and adding them to our TV package, but I've heard bad things about them too.:(

I have no issues with Talk Talk at all.....but maybe that's because I'm with Virgin...and despite (or maybe because) Richard Branson is a Capitalist Pig-dog I've never had a single problem

Suff: Apparently BT have a package with calls to South Africa at 3p per minute, not sure of the details though.

We're currently with Sky but have had a few problems, possibly due to the wireless connection though. We, well my parents, will be changing to BT at the end of the month, I'll be the one in South Africa that they'll be calling :D

I have been with Plusnet for years and I have had no real complaints.
They are actually based in Sheffield and their helpline is a local 0114 number,
I use them for both broadband and home phone
I recommend them highly
If you do decide to go with them please quote "juliasdream" when asked who referred you
