Fletch 26-10-2003, 10:59 thats amazing PP its a shame you can ony zoom in to 10km though!! Thats a really use full site for my school work though. Cheers Fletch Phanerothyme 26-10-2003, 11:19 It's a bit misleading as choosing a satellite from the list does not show you the picture captured by that satellite, but a simulated picture of the earth taken from the position of the satellite, which is then overlayed by one of about composite images of earth. The 'Living Earth', Nasa Earth and Topo maps are unchanging. The water vapour maps are updated from a molleweide projection that is created very 3 hours by University of Wisconsin from 3 meteorological satellites. I though it was a bit weird listing things like the iridium satellites which have no imaging devices on board. and the zoom in/zoom out function just enlarges the pixels, rather than providing finer and finer resolution as one might expect. Good for watching large weather systems though. Dude111 24-10-2007, 00:05 THAT IS K-RAD!!!!!!!! I looked @ the UK and then the USA :) |
