I've recently been to an enrolment evening at Meadowhead school with the intention of joining one of their German conversation classes, but sadly there wasn't enough interest to put one together! Seems people are more interested in French and Spanish...

Anyway, I've been in touch since with the only other person interested, and we're just wondering whether anyone on here who is learning German, has learnt it years ago or knows it through any other way would be interested in putting together some kind of informal German conversation group.

Also, we would like to get a native speaker involved to try and keep the conversation in German

So, any learners, rusty speakers and natives of German, please apply below. Surely there's more than two people who want to do this!

That's not too bad, having not spoken it for forty years, buck

Connecticut might be a bit too far to join our conversation class from, though

I have just started trying to learn German with a free online flashcard programme. I am at an extremely basic level (Guten morgen, ich moste die richtung das cafe bitte) having leanred french and spanish at school. So, if you want total novices I would be interested. Let me know how it goes I am keen to learn, just not very good yet. Oh, OK, so I know about 10 words, but its a start.:)

If you could send me a PM with some details (if anything ever happens) i'll let my friend know.
