West Jam will plead poverty and play the " they're all picking on us " card and the F,A will do sweet F.A. as usual. Of all the London clubs West Ham was my favourite with Spurs a close second but not any more. Perhaps you think it's because I'm a Blade well in that case I would hate all clubs with players who dive and cheat but I don't. Let's get a few things straightened out here.

Your club admitted to breaking PL rules - FACT.

After the original hearing, your club continued to lie and cheat - FACT

Every hearing since (seeing as the original one couldn't disagree with you) has found AGAINST you - FACT.

All bar the original (farcical) hearing have effectively, if not categorically said that you should have been deducted points - FACT.

Tevez was instrumental in your escape - FACT

We were crap v Wigan - FACT

The fine inposed on you was a record one - FACT

The (known) financial bonanza which was to follow made that fine no more than a hill of beans - FACT

Had the whole thing been handled properly by the PL (i.e. deducting points) in the first place, then had you still escaped, AND Tevez not continued to play with the third party clause in place, none of this would still be dragging on - FACT

Their reason of "it would be unfair to West Ham's fans" was the most spineless statement since Chamberlain came back wafting a bit of paper and said, "Peace in our time.". - MAYBE NOT ABSOLUTE FACT, BUT IN FOOTBALLING TERMS - FACT!

Sheffield United were joined by several other clubs who pledged to fight the original decision - FACT

The clubs who pledged to fight on had the support of other members of the PL -FACT

Now let's move onto a few other things.

Tevez individually kept you up - NOT TRUE. What is clear though is that he was instrumental in doing so. The argument of "Who's to say someone else wouldn't have scored?" is as hollow as an acoustic guitar. You wouldn't have played the same tactics, etc., and so all matches would have been played differently. You may as well say "Bugs Bunny might have scored those goals."; it holds as much water.

Aside from this, he shouldn't have been playing in any case, as the third party agreement was still in place. Precisely the reason why you were fined in the first place.

United's survival was in our own hands - TRUE. Nobody's doubting this; indeed the same goes for any club at the start of the season. By the same token, abiding by the rules is also in every club's hands. This is where you are the black sheep of the family. Points mean prizes (for prizes read £££), and so cheating in order to get those prizes should be punished by taking the points away. See the logic?

United are like a spoilt child - MATTER OF OPINION. Some may say so as this matter has dragged for so long, and indeed has to be done outside of football legislation as we're not in the PL now. There again, if you were being proved right, or at the very least, your adversary was being proved wrong at EVERY TURN, wouldn't you kick up a fuss?
