View Full Version : West ham could be potless . alex3659 07-10-2008, 14:58 west hams owner has a massive stake in the icelandic bank that has gone skint , that may effect our 30 mil . al_partridge 07-10-2008, 15:02 If he's using his personal fortune to fund them and not the bank's money then it shouldn't make too much difference? Or maybe West Ham will go into administration if they're ordered to pay you £30million and you end up getting only 1% of it or £300k! Ousetunes 07-10-2008, 15:03 TBH I'd be happy with either outcome. Heyesey 07-10-2008, 15:12 If he's using his personal fortune to fund them and not the bank's money then it shouldn't make too much difference? If his personal fortune is in that bank, then he may not have it any more... scottf 07-10-2008, 15:57 not really- west ham have an enormous amount of equity that they could borrow against so they would be forced to do that to pay it or go into administration. igm1 07-10-2008, 16:01 Does this mean that you can't get them in court for marijuana posession also? ..................sorry. alex3659 07-10-2008, 16:25 Does this mean that you can't get them in court for marijuana posession also? ..................sorry.:huh::huh::huh: alex3659 08-10-2008, 09:11 just been on skysports news , west ham are in dire fanacial trouble and they can't see a way out for them . players on massive wages , massive debts etc . couldn't happen to a nicer club . eckorob 08-10-2008, 09:57 hey guys does it matter if they go in to administration i bet they dont get points deducted like they should it will just be another rule bending exercise from a london club with a bit off help from the FA and sir TB :rant: Bladesman 08-10-2008, 10:06 just been on skysports news , west ham are in dire fanacial trouble and they can't see a way out for them . players on massive wages , massive debts etc . couldn't happen to a nicer club . Floridablade 13-10-2008, 19:30 West Jam will plead poverty and play the " they're all picking on us " card and the F,A will do sweet F.A. as usual. Of all the London clubs West Ham was my favourite with Spurs a close second but not any more. Perhaps you think it's because I'm a Blade well in that case I would hate all clubs with players who dive and cheat but I don't. West Jam broke the rules and continued to break the rules and were allowed to get away with it with a paltry fine and permission to carry on fielding Tevez, that is inexcusable. alex3659 13-10-2008, 20:03 tevez last game for west ham he scores the winning goal away at man utd , his next game is as a man utd player on loan from west ham . would they have beat man utd if the league was not safe ?. Joe Momma 13-10-2008, 20:53 As I've said before, that was one of THREE successive wins over Man Utd. Plus Man Utd hit the woodwork several times and had goal-line clearances. I know they're good but to do that deliberately takes some doing. BTW a draw was all we required anyway after Jagielka's handball. And it would be as ludicrous to suggest that Jagielka did that on purpose ...... (meaning you and Wigan would've both stayed up as we were BOUND to lose at Old Trafford) ...... oh yeah, we didn't read McCabe & Whelan's script. :suspect: Check your facts before spouting your drivel. alex3659 13-10-2008, 21:06 As I've said before, that was one of THREE successive wins over Man Utd. There is a minority of your support that are embarrassing a good, solid club with so much tradition....Please for the sake of FOOTBALL..stop embarrassing both yourself..and your club. Always wishing SUFC well for promotion. was in magaluf in august. and every single supporter of football i spoke to wished us good look in our fight for justice. and said you were a disgrace. 3 week back i was in london for our game (shambles) at arsenal sat in a pub on holloway road talking to a group of arsenal fans. and same again. cant really say what they said about you on a familly forum (by the way whats a pikey) the only thing that is embarrasing is that a once great football club and fantastic supporters that brought us bobby moore and a world cup cant see that they've done wrong. its only because you did it to little ole sheff utd and not man utd, liverpool. arsenal that you hav'nt been deducted 20 points. those bubbles dont reach the sky anymore my little cockerneee cheeky chappy. alex3659 14-10-2008, 07:27 YOUR £30m??? Never has the price of ones failures been so expensive to another!! Agree with you totally, West hams failure to follow the rules . tervor brooking and co are the ones who are embarrassing football , with their disgusting double standards where west ham are concerned . NEVER wishing WHU anthing but the justice they deserve. igm1 14-10-2008, 07:52 the difference between my facts and your fact is that mine are facts , yours is opinion . But it's not though! Your opinions on here have very little, if any, basis on fact. Most of what you say on this subject is just plain rumour. alex3659 14-10-2008, 08:08 seems your on your own , see post 26 . Dimitri 11 14-10-2008, 10:18 gonna realise that they are fighting in the Championship .......in the chamionship................. 'cos West Ham cheated. .It was in their hands.. but THEY threw it away. !! We did enough to stay up IF there was no cheating......... it was in our hands but then robbed from us. Lets have some sobriety!! Basically your post is based on United-ites arguing against you because they are all drunk - that's good, that's very good :help: Dimitri 11 14-10-2008, 10:25 YOUR £30m??? Yes it's what West Ham owe us for cheating. You know when criminals get their assets confiscated them for drug dealing, credit card fraud etc well it's basically the same principle here. If these kinda comments were on a national forum most of the country would imagine you boys as buskers on the underground ( our underground )??? Are you sure it's not you on the special brew pal. Is this some kind of cockney saying or something? There is a minority of your support that are embarrassing a good, solid club with so much tradition..... Why what is this minority doing? There are a majority of blades (I suspect all but there are always a couple of idiots) that want justice and to see West Ham properly punished - nothing wrong with that. Our 2,500 have sold out and I'll be there. Gonna see about Middlesbro (Sat, 1st Nov) as well - last season's last minute winner from Parker was immense up there - esp. after Deano's belting equaliser. UP THE HAMMERS!! :P alex3659 14-10-2008, 11:09 No point getting into any arguments with 'em, JM - you can't educate pork. ;) Anyway, you gonna Hull this Sunday? Joe Momma 14-10-2008, 11:12 Erm ... I live in Sheffield (born & bred) and was talking 'football' with a fellow fan .... why? WTF's it gotta do with you? Nose..... :suspect: Dimitri 11 14-10-2008, 11:38 No point getting into any arguments with 'em, JM - you can't educate pork. ;) Accusing people of drinking '4 cans of special brew' and of being 'underground buskers' - these are good ones, i'll have to remember them for when I get into arguments on other posts. Highly educated, very highly educated. Joe Momma 14-10-2008, 11:42 Why quote me on your post? I didn't post that.....:gag: Heyesey 14-10-2008, 11:46 Erm ... I live in Sheffield (born & bred) and was talking 'football' with a fellow fan ... And therefore you should use PMs or the chat room. This forum is for discussion of football in sheffield, not of football in general, by people who live here. Dimitri 11 14-10-2008, 12:04 Why quote me on your post? I didn't post that.....:gag: Erm, yes you did - you posted about 'not educating Pork' and your mate posted about 'special brew' and 'underground buskers'. I quoted you on exactly what you posted without changing a word. I quoted what you said and made a comment (not in quotes) about what your mate said - it's all related as you are backing him up. Read the posts again, im not misquoting anyone - you on the Special Brew as well? As were going off topic, the Icelandic stock exchange is down 76% today which cannot be good news for your own Eggert Magnusson or West Ham themselves. Joe Momma 14-10-2008, 12:08 Nah .... disagree, oh Forum King. :nono: Was gonna mention (if he WAS going) that we should leave Sheffield early 'cos apparently there's a match on in Sheffield. Your K-O is at 1.15, ours at 3 so we may get stuck in 'Derby' traffic ..... Thanks for the interest though. Joe Momma 14-10-2008, 12:12 Erm, yes you did - you posted about 'not educating Pork' and your mate posted about 'special brew' and 'underground buskers'. I quoted you on exactly what you posted without changing a word. Well whatever - you used my 'pork' quote but posted about Special Brew which wasn't me. No matter. As for the Stock Exchange I guess that's why Mum's shop at Iceland. BG will have assets stashed everywhere - he's not an idiot, it'll be loose change to him. Dimitri 11 14-10-2008, 12:25 BG will have assets stashed everywhere. Too true he's got a few in East London - Dean Ashton, Rob Green, Lucas Neill to name but a few. He will get a few mil. for each of them - not long 'til January now and BG will be rich again. he's not an idiot, No he's a foreign businessman and probably ruthless. I imagine he's looking at his financial losses and the coming recession and realising that maybe football transfer fees are going to come down - I can't see you not losing a few of your good players in January. Im being serious here and not just clutching at straws to have a dig at W Ham, I think this is going to happen unless you get new owners in. What do you think will happen in Jan without new owners? happyhippy 14-10-2008, 12:31 Hey Joe! Seems straight forward me ol mate..I am starting to question whether some posters on here just come on after four cans of Special Brew cause the obvious just dont sink in! When are the White Lightening Brigade gonna realise that they are fighting in the Championship...cause they completely bottled it..It was in their hands.. but THEY threw it away. Lets have some sobriety!! Here we go again ...... Let's get a few things straightened out here. Your club admitted to breaking PL rules - FACT. After the original hearing, your club continued to lie and cheat - FACT Every hearing since (seeing as the original one couldn't disagree with you) has found AGAINST you - FACT. All bar the original (farcical) hearing have effectively, if not categorically said that you should have been deducted points - FACT. Tevez was instrumental in your escape - FACT We were crap v Wigan - FACT The fine inposed on you was a record one - FACT The (known) financial bonanza which was to follow made that fine no more than a hill of beans - FACT Had the whole thing been handled properly by the PL (i.e. deducting points) in the first place, then had you still escaped, AND Tevez not continued to play with the third party clause in place, none of this would still be dragging on - FACT Their reason of "it would be unfair to West Ham's fans" was the most spineless statement since Chamberlain came back wafting a bit of paper and said, "Peace in our time.". - MAYBE NOT ABSOLUTE FACT, BUT IN FOOTBALLING TERMS - FACT! Sheffield United were joined by several other clubs who pledged to fight the original decision - FACT The clubs who pledged to fight on had the support of other members of the PL -FACT Now let's move onto a few other things. Tevez individually kept you up - NOT TRUE. What is clear though is that he was instrumental in doing so. The argument of "Who's to say someone else wouldn't have scored?" is as hollow as an acoustic guitar. You wouldn't have played the same tactics, etc., and so all matches would have been played differently. You may as well say "Bugs Bunny might have scored those goals."; it holds as much water. Aside from this, he shouldn't have been playing in any case, as the third party agreement was still in place. Precisely the reason why you were fined in the first place. United's survival was in our own hands - TRUE. Nobody's doubting this; indeed the same goes for any club at the start of the season. By the same token, abiding by the rules is also in every club's hands. This is where you are the black sheep of the family. Points mean prizes (for prizes read £££), and so cheating in order to get those prizes should be punished by taking the points away. See the logic? United are like a spoilt child - MATTER OF OPINION. Some may say so as this matter has dragged for so long, and indeed has to be done outside of football legislation as we're not in the PL now. There again, if you were being proved right, or at the very least, your adversary was being proved wrong at EVERY TURN, wouldn't you kick up a fuss? I could write more, but I really do have better things to do. alex3659 14-10-2008, 12:33 Erm ... I live in Sheffield (born & bred) and was talking 'football' with a fellow fan .... why? Joe Momma 14-10-2008, 12:33 A lot depends on whether we get the Olympic Stadium (a la Man Citeh) after 2012. It's back on the agenda after problems with the ParcelForce site we were gonna have and Boris replacing Ken Livingstone as Mayor. Then he'd have some land for sale (Upton Park). Probably spin out any possible appeal against this compo thing for as long as possible 'til finances are better - whether it gets annulled, reduced or forced to pay.
