BARRY hunt i new was one of my best freinds right up to 1960.when i left sheffield.
but when i new Barry he lived on woodthorpe close.
my self , Barry , Terry leary, charlie spriggs & brian horry were VERY close friends.
how is Barry ,iam 73 . so Barry must be 71. best regards Roy.

Does any one know what has happened to Charlie Spriggs? I heard a rumour that he died 2 years ago. I am married to his son. They both lost touch years ago. Lots of family history which I wont go into.

I.knew charlie very well he was allways at my home he was a very good friend of my brothers alan and brian horry .Ihave had a photo sent this week from roy sellars who is on this site and lives in canada on the photo is charlie brian roy and terry leary.I remember charlie worked down the pit.He lived on fitzubert rd i ran errands for his mom.He had a sister called margaret.

Hi I lived on the manor estate from 1940 until 1958 I lived on hastilar road across from the rec

dizzy dom i used to live next door to charlie spriggs mum on fitzhubert road.I liked charlie he was what you would call a lovable rougue.I had the greatest respect for him because if it wasnt for him running my mum up lodge moor hospital she would have not have seen my dad before he died .he was visiting nannan spriggs ( thats what we used to call her ) on the night she got an urgent call from the hospital to go up straight away.he run her up then waited to take her home I can recall he had 2 sons one was called wayne the other i cant remember his name.Through the years i would sometimes bump into charlie he always stopped to chat and ask after my mum .me and my sister were only talking about this very fact the other day.im so sorry to hear he has died and send my condolences to his family
