So what do people think of the new Harry Enfield series?

I'm enjoying it, love the Dragons Den pish take, liked the Nelson Mandela sings the Blur sketch and this weeks take-off of On the Buses was great.

OK some of the sketches are updated re-hashes of previous ones, but I'm still glad to see them both back

I like the Dragon's Den sketch, particularly when Theo Profiterole says, "Stupid bloody monkey sod!"

I also like the shops in Notting Hill called "I Saw You Coming" and "Modern *ank"

There's a shop on Ecclesall Road called Antics that reminds me of the Modern *ank shop on Harry and Paul. :hihi:

I used to love Harry Enfield's show when I was at school, but when I watched some repeats recently on UKTV Gold I couldn't help but think how badly it had dated and how actually terrible it was.

I wasn't expecting great things from Harry and Paul so I was quite pleasantly surprised to find some of it very funny. I especially liked the football parody last week with the 85-minute long national anthem of Paquador. And the posh bloke with a pet northerner is very good.

I have to say I do find it funny. It's like a new pair of slippers. They look a bit different, but they're just as comfy as the ones from 15 years ago.

Its abit hit and miss.

Not near as funny as Harry Enfield's old stuff.

Still some good sketches in this though.

I've enjoyed it. It's a surprising return to form for Enfield after that awful show he did on Sky.

Loved the Clarkson Island sketch.

"Clarkson Island has the greatest concentration of Jemery Clarksons per square mile.....in the world"

Oh god yeah, I had forgotten about that. I must have deliberately blocked it from my memory because it was so bad.

Northerner of the year show!

An absolute classic sketch. One of the funniest things I've seen in years, especially Hull Kingston Rover and Down T'Pit Bull Terrier

Dragon's Den bit was ok....most of rest was awful and dated.

Who is gonna get a joke about 'on the busses' ??? and why nelson mandella? it just seems they havent noticed the news and world has changed around them and they struggle to do modern jokes.

Bit of a let down, used to LOVE the harry enfield show, and the fast show was pretty damn good as well

Yeah I thought that was funny. I liked the Scouse one, and I think there was one called Clive?

The Dragon's Den sketches are the best, although sometimes those sketches seem a little too short, they could really got to town on it but they don't quite achieve that.

It's a pity they don't actually copy some actual Dragon Den contestant's like the guy who invented the egg boiler who couldn't get his device to boil an egg, but he still managed to get the dragon's money!

Also the Polish cafe sketches are good.

Think these 2 together are hilarious, especially like the football sketch, where Paul's chattin to all the different nationalities, creases me up :hihi:

It's been a very up and down sort of program in my opinion.

There have been some classics (Dragon's Den, Clarkson Island, The Football Manager, Northerner Of The Year) and some absolute pap (the black and white hotel sketch, the scaffolders) the rest of the sketches have been pretty good - so I'd say on the whole a good return for the pair.

Lets hope they carry on working together and get some other good stuff going on - it's clear that with age they've still got the ability to create some great sketches.

Mick :)

I love the bloke who sells crap to posh environmentally conscious blondes....and his **** take of "innocent" smoothies......

"Is this organic?"

"Well at that price it should be"
