for sum reason all my bookmarks have gone!! i still have a favourates folder on my computer..but dont fancy loading them all up then bookmarking again....is there a folder i can copy them into?

hmm...theres none of the bookmarks (about 5) i have reset in that folder at all? and when i put a new one in it doesnt show up on the bookmarks bit.

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<random_string>\bookmarks.html

I set that to my homepage too.

i dont have a folder called `application data' within any folders in documents and settings.... ah well ive reset most of bookmarks now...god knows why they disappeared...no doubt there are a few i'll never find again.

It's probably hidden, in the folder click on the tools menu, the go to folder options. under view tick the "show hidden files" option, you might also need to tick the "show windows files" option as well. This will then magically reveal the application settings folder.

its a right pain, but i keep a back up every week of the bookmarks file in my docs folder which gets burnt to a cdrw disc
