... so starts each episode of the Mighty Boosh, on in Sheffield this week.
But is the act comedy genius, or self-indulgent?
I always get the impression that Noel Fielding really wants to be a pop star, but has no talent for it, so the Boosh is just a vehicle for him to get attention and do a bit of singing.
The other one hasn't made much of an impression on me, but he writes all the music apparently. Perhaps he had eyes that were too small to be a pop star?
Bits of it are very funny, but quite a lot of it is just wallpaper - no better otr worse than most everything else on tv.
So, are the Boosh comedy geniuses, self-indulgent fantasists, or something else?

I love the programme, but I wouldn't describe them as comedy genius exactly. It just makes me laugh and that's enough.

True Noel does seem to think he is some kind of rock star wannabe.
Although I find them very funny but I can see why they are not everyone's cup of tea.
Looking forward to seeing them tonight. :D
I love the mighty boosh and also find Noel rather attractive!

The OH says I only pretend not to like them because both of them are funnier and better looking than me ...
Noel is very attractive in my opinion but his brother - the one who plays Naboo now he is proper ugly and strange looking!

I know - I can't believe they're related. Surely they're half brothers really?

Wikipedia has them as full brothers - but he's only 5 foot 1 and looks nothing like Noel.
I wonder what their window cleaner looked like?

I went last week - it was Great.
I did feel rather old though compared to the target demographic.
Although I like to think I would be one of the minority who knows the only way to calm a llama down...

It's the show time, but last night it started about 7.40
