just been to cut heads of sun flowers at allotment and one has grown a face and seem,s very happy look at pics you will see what I mean

and no I havent plucked seeds out this is just how it grew all by it,s self

You can use the seeds to grow more sunflowers (sorry, couldn't resist!), you can feed them to the birds or you could use them in bread. I'm sure I've bought wonderful sunflower seed and honey bread from M & S, perhaps you could find a recipe somewhere.

easy enough, .5 kg flour, yeast or baking powder, oil, honey and seeds and the messy part is adding water mix to a dough - knead put in pre-heated oven say Mark 7 gas or electric equivalent for about 40 minutes. It's done when you can smell it or tap on the bottom for a hollow sound.
