I'd like to pick the brains of some of you who know about cat behaviour, I'd like to know if the following might work in keeping them out of my garden. It's a serious question but you can laugh if you want. On the way to Manchester the other day we passed a place that seems to specialise in unusual garden ornaments, and one of the things they had was a large, quite realistic-looking lioness. I know cats are afraid of lions because I've tried scattering a lion poo-based product and it does have some effect, but there are a couple of cats who still persist. If I had an almost life sized fake lioness lurking at the end of the garden, would a cat think "That's a much MUCH bigger cat than me" and leg it? Or are they more likely to just ignore it?

Well LION Poo, certainly works! Not sure about a model of a lioness though?:suspect:

Put 2 litre plastic bottles (pop bottles) filled with water in your garden, placed randomly. Cats see a weird reflection and leave it well alone. It does work.

Pop bottles eh? Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.

Orange peel scattered around the flower beds works well too. Cats hate the 'zestyness' (or whatever the proper word is). :)
Or get your own cat - they'll clear your garden of all other cats in no time!! :hihi:
