Hi Litha,

Have you tried posting the error message in to Google?

That often produces a useful load of information.

Which version of Windows is it?

Joe

Repair install instructions here (http://xthost.info/vidster9/HTML/repairinstall.htm)

I would try running sfc /scannow first though. I'm not sure if it will work but it does repair/replace damaged program files.

Just type sfc /scannow in to the run box in the start menu. Note the space after sfc though ;)

i recently bought this puter for £20 which is faster and better than my previous (which i gave the kids)
all i did was take my 2 80gb hard drives and dvd writer out of my old one and stuck a dvdrom drive and 2 small hard drives in the one for the kids.

when i started my new puter up, xp wouldnt start cos it didnt know the new hardware it had been transplanted into, so i did a repair install off the xp cd and it works fine, been using it everyday for about 3 months now :)
