What does the camera icon represent at the side of some posts

It's not a camera, it's an envelope with a seal on it (or something)

The ones you see with the black spot are the ones youhave contributed to.

if you logout and look at the 'new post' list, you'll see all the 'cameras' have disappeared :thumbsup:

Im a new user of this site and think it is a really good local site
but could someone please explain what the icon at the left side of each post mean.

It's your 'avatar'. You can set it to whatever picture you like in 'your options'. Some people have animated ones but I'm not sure how you do that - I just used a pic of my dog Toby!

sorry i mean the icons at the side of post listings.
