I have an allotment on the Meersbrook site and am finding it hard to get it into shape all by myself and wondered if there is anyone around willing to help out!

The allotment is huge, with a potting shed and a greenhouse, both in need of a bit of repair work, but would be a great project.

This would be ideal if you live locally, or on the allotment waiting list, or just have an interest in organic farming. The best thing for that plot is a dedicated collective sharing the rewards of organic food and a great space to relax.

Please dont hesitate to message me if you are interested!

Hi Parkhilldoc, it might be worth putting a laminated advert on the main gates, the shop and also by the community lottie. I was chatting to a nice lady last weekend who was looking for an allotment to share at Meersbrook, but I don't have her details - I know that she'd just started going to the community allotment and she has had lots of lotties over the years, so has lots of knowledge :)

I'm at Meersbrook and so is LowCarbon.

Hi there Parkhilldoc,

I've recently put together a basic website for the allotment site. I've just put a page up for anyone interested in sharing their plots informally. Only finished it today and the website is still not well known about (will put adverts on site soon). If you want to be the first to go on the 'allotment sharing' section then pm me. Also spread the word about the website. Address is:
