i would really like to get a kitten for me and my LO we have a staffy X who has never attacked a cat but seems intent on getting to any cat or small animal she has never managed to get one but i really dont know what she would do if she did.

i dont want to go and get a kitten and just plonk it in the house and expect every thing to be fine but is there a way i can do it without either a kitten or dog being hurt in the process.

i'd say keep the dog in the kitchen with a safety gate on the door and let her kitten go to the dog. but please think if it would be safe for the kitten.

I would suggest you take your dog to meet some cats first, muzzled obviously, before risking a kitten with your dog.

Gem (now at the bridge) would chase strange cats, but not ours and she never hurt our cats. I think with Gem it was mainly the chase and not the kill, but it is difficult to tell what your dog may do, so would cat test the dog first.

ok will try that i dont think she wants to kill them i just cant garuntee that she wouldnt if you know what i mean

I'd also say goodbye to your dogs nose. Kittens have very sharp feet when cornered.
