My son was laid off a few months back after dislocating his shoulder (twice). He's 19 and had been Plastering for 18 months and was on a course at Barnsley College which he had to give up once he lost his employer. He's now recovered and has just plastered our kitchen, dining room, hall and stairs to a fantastic standard and I was wondering if anyone on here would be willing to take him on and give him a chance?. He has his own transport (motorbike) and tools and you can come round and see his work, he would still be classed as an apprentice and would be willing to work on a trial basis to prove himself.
Alternatively if anyone has any small/medium plastering jobs they want doing then give us a call and he could beat any previous quotes you have had. Thanks 07793865145.

Ideally he is looking for an employer as he doesn't feel ready to go out on his own yet. His work is up to a good enough standard but he lacks the confidence to go into peoples houses and price up work etc, so I posted on here looking for someone to take him on and also to see if I could get him a few small jobs to get him a bit of confidence and money doing jobs on his own. I thought I could take him up to look at jobs and work out what materials he would need and how long it would take him and come up with a price and undercut anyone else just to get him into it until he gained that knowledge and confidence, as it seems a waste that he hasn't been able to find work lately.

As for rates?, he was only on a lads rate of £30 a day, although I gave him more for doing all the recent work in our house. He's finishing at our house either today or tomorrow at the latest so will be available later this week, we live in Oughtibridge so you are welcome to come over and look at the work he's done?.
Partnering up would probably be ideal as he needs someone to take that lead with him really at this stage. I'll phone him and tell him you might be interested?, where is the house that needs the repair?, I could bring him up to have a look at it and meet you?, and where do you live?
