Anyone else care to join me in a chuckle at the 'bitters'?? :hihi::hihi:
October 2nd and the season is all but over. You've just got to laugh. Prime example of a club punching above it's weight. Leave it to the big boys and accept your place among the 2nd tier of premiership football.

While we're on the subject..leaving the Merseyside derby 25 minutes before the end..you ought to be ashamed. As Jim Royle would say 'Peoples club??..my arse!

I thought it was just that tin pot European thing Liverpool won as part of their plastic treble that they got knocked out of last night - was it the FA cup too?

Aren't Liege the team who nearly embarrassed Liverpool and nearly knocked them out of 'their' competition??

I think Liverpool fans should enjoy it while it lasts, the wheels will inevitably fall off as they always do due to a dodgy refereeing decision of Rafa's persistance with Dirk Kuyt.

Yeah, is that the one called The Champions League? Remind me again what Liverpool are champions of...

To be fair, the season isn't over for the whole of Merseyside yet. Tranmere Rovers still have a good chance of making the League One play-offs......

So what do you think Liverpool are going to win this year?

Is this the year you're going to win your first Premier League title, same as all the other years?

Liverpool will always be the bridesmaids. They don't have the financial clout of Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City and therefore aren't going to win anything of note.

League Cup, Community Sheild, UEFA Cup, European Super Cup, World Club Championships, Leyland DAF Cup and Suggs Sport League don't count.

What’s the difference between Everton and a triangle?
A triangle has three points!!!!!!!!!

What’s the difference between Everton and a tea bag?
A tea bag stays in the cup longer

What do Evertonians do when Everton win the Champions League?
They turn off the playstation!

Whats the difference between an Everton fan and a supermarket trolley
The trolley has a mind of its own

How many Evertonians does it take to change a light bulb
As many has you like , but they will never see the light

Why can't Evertonians get a tan
Because they're always living in the shadows

Wibbles you are a sad strange little man.
That is if you are a man, I will rephrase...You sad strange little person.
You... are a person?

You started this thread to have a laugh at the likes of me, but sadly for you it has backfired somewhat. Most are now having a go at Liverpool.

Well strange as it seems I do believe that Liverpool have a realistic chance for the title this year.
What you as a football fan should remember, however (you are a football fan ...yes?) is that football is a sport that real fans enjoy watching. The real fans, I place myself in this bracket, will visit lower division games in all sorts of bad weather conditions.
They will even take their Liverpool mate from RAF Lynham to see Wolves v Liverpool, not get in the ground, then have to listen to the bloody match on the piggin radio all the way back to Lynham. They will watch Hereford United, Lincoln Town (played against them once) Ipswich, Norwich derby Nottingham clubs and other non league teams. They will have a jibe at their rivals we all do this, but you …you… and breathe.

Everton did the best they could under the circumstances, what is wrong with trying to punch above your weight? Football is a game for competing, that means trying to win.
We can’t all afford to ‘buy the title’ not even Liverpool.
So as they say in Sheffield ‘have a think on before thee opns thy gob’
Your jokes by the way are older than me.
Here is a better one: A copper sees two Everton fans climbing over the gate at Goodison and shouts OY get back in and watch the game.;)

Why two weeks?

Everton got beat by Liverpool last week, Standard Liege last night.

Hold the phone Carlo, lets just check, has any one returned your calls in the last two weeks?

I knew a guy a few years back who would go to the away games of Liverpool and Everton, he liked going on coaches. I could find his number for you if you like, get him to give you a call, ok. :)
