I know this sounds daft, but I have never seen more blackberries than on the side of the road leading into Bannerdale school on Bannerdale road off Abbeydale Road S7. There are also woods behind that are full of blackberry.

You might be better off looking for a blackberry bush. :D Bradfield and loxley usually have loads. Where abouts are you. Just go for a stroll around your nearest woodland or park.

Hi bones. Well I havent really made a great deal of effort this year and have let everything go to pot. The easiest things for kids to grow firstly has to be cress. You can even plant it in shapes or spelling their names. Then there are the various salad leaf packs and radishes. These are good because you just chuck the seed on and they only take about 6 weeks. runner beans and peas are exciting because you can grow them up anything and am yet to find a child that dosent like fresh pod peas. Even my daughter who cannot stand peas generally. Potatoes are good grown in a big tub or in tyres. As they grow put on another tyre and cover the bottem growth with soil. Strawberries are always tasty and easy to grow or buy some and let them sprout new plants. Tomatoes you could grow and let him make his own ketchup. I like herbs as they have a strong smell and taste and some are pretty hardy. you could play senses games like blindfolded tasting and smelling. A good way to get him to try things.

Chives and mint are good herbs to go as they grow quite wild so can withstand the clumseyness of little hands. Chives are nice in omelettes.
