Hi I'm wanting to buy a classical guitar but have only ever played rock on electric so know absolutely nothing about them. Ideally i'm wanting nylon string, with a cut out at the body and im wanting to spend really no more than £200 on it. It would be preferable electro-acoustic but not essential. If anyone knows anything about them and would like to offer advice it would be much appreciated. I'v been trying to google it but i don't even know any good brands so i'm really stuck. cheers
Well if it's classical it will have nylon strings. The electro bit may be a problem as they can't be amplified as easily as acoustics.

Go to a music shop, that way you can actually play them. You dont have to buy anything, if you have to claim you will! but dont!.
Its better to play in a shop and get the sound you want, than buy off the internet, find its not good, you cant get a refund blah blah blah!

Unfortunately the guitar shops around me aren't that well equipped. Tho i guess i could travel. just bein lazy lol

Electromusic in doncaster is a good place to start, and if not, they pretty sure to know where else you can try :)

The best classicals under £200 are made by admira, imo. i went to electro music yesterday and played a couple and they were awful because they weren't set up properly,i.e. the saddle wasn't low enough. The worst, most overpriced guitars are yamahas, that i know of, anyway. i'm sure someone will disagree, but that's my opinion.
I'l agree on the yamahas - don't buy anything by them

Sheffield Music Shop, Ecclesall Road, have electro classical guitars worth looking at..
you can get them from £100 but it's worth looking around.
I play a electro classical and spent along time looking around, and I also found not many shops have those types of guitars!
