Arrrrrgh! teeny 01-10-2008, 09:40 Lol yes I have loads of them here!!! I have a young lady who works for us a few hours a week she would be very afraid lol I think they are all finding homes for the winter, they appeared after the heating went on ! SpeedDemon 01-10-2008, 09:53 Well ater I'd finished pooping my pants, I would have hit it with a very large shovel. Actually no, I'd have run a mile and got MrSpeedDemon to hit it :hihi: I've got loads in my shed. Since the bunnies vacated it, I have no need to allow them to live there to keep the flies down now, so Mr Speedy will be going in with the Dyson, and then giving the said Dyson a thorough cleaning out before I will allow it back in the house! katkin 01-10-2008, 12:22 no, don't kill spiders - it's bad luck -and besides, think of all the good they do! Black widows have a red flash on their back, but yes, it does kind of look a bit like one- as far as I know though, this type are harmless. ajaj1 01-10-2008, 12:39 Urm correct me if I am wrong but I thought that Black Widows cant survive in this climate. I could be wrong, but lived abroad for a few years and was advised that even if they came over with the furniture in the packing crates they would not survive. - PLEASE someone tell me that is correct... Feel quite ill now!!! fox20thc 01-10-2008, 13:42 Don't worry its a FALSE black widow :) "False widows have a bit of a reputation for biting people, although in truth, this is quite a rare occurrence. You would need to be very unlucky, or go out of your way to be bitten. They only bite if mishandled or provoked. To those who have experienced it, the bite is said to be similar to a bee sting" magsie 01-10-2008, 14:34 Rabbit hutch spider!!?? Hilarious. I couldn't believe this was true! Please don't kill her, there may be a false black widower been waiting years for her to become a widow. SpeedDemon 01-10-2008, 15:51 [QUOTE=katkin;4127145]no, don't kill spiders - it's bad luck [QUOTE] Maybe thats why i'm so unlucky then :hihi: Sorry, but if they're in my house or my shed, they simply HAVE to die, as I'm terrified of them, so could never settle knowing one is there, staring at me. I'm sure most of them bare their teeth at me too :suspect: Don't go telling me they don't have teeth, I'm sure I've seen them, massive fangs n everythin! :help: magsie 01-10-2008, 16:48 Of course they have teeth. Fangs 18" long but they are false. Get it? False widow spider!! What are you like? Never had SpeedDemon down as a wuzz. Childbirth versus tincey wincey spider - what are you like!!?? I'll come and use my feather duster on them and put them in a container and take them away for you. I know they grow as big as corgies if left to their own devices! You're funny xx xx PS - do they hiss when you are within 150 yards of them? Whoooooaaa x chem1st 01-10-2008, 16:57 It looks like Clive, could you please return him ASAP from whence he came. :hihi: My mate has a spider in his house which we have nicknamed Clive. The other day it abseiled from the ceiling onto a can of beer :hihi: SpeedDemon 01-10-2008, 17:17 do they hiss when you are within 150 yards of them? Whoooooaaa x Hiss? Not only do they hiss, they spit venom at me, and then laugh :( Childbirth is a breeze compared to coming face 2 face with those hairy beasties. Anything with more than 4 legs ahould be classed as an illegal imigrant, and instantly barred from the country! <shudders> jellybellybean 02-10-2008, 15:02 Oh my god I would have DIED had I come across this! ajaj1 03-10-2008, 16:30 Hiss? Not only do they hiss, they spit venom at me, and then laugh :( Childbirth is a breeze compared to coming face 2 face with those hairy beasties. Anything with more than 4 legs ahould be classed as an illegal imigrant, and instantly barred from the country! <shudders> I'll second that!!! SpeedDemon 03-10-2008, 17:27 :clap: someone who talks sense and agrees with me :hihi: Maybe we should start a campaign to rid the world of things with extra legs! ajaj1 06-10-2008, 07:54 Lol SD! Where do I sign up? I am a v good organiser. I might know of someone who could do the posters.... Any more than 4 legs and it aint natural! :hihi: SpeedDemon 06-10-2008, 17:03 That's definitely true! I hardly think they can claim asylum in Britain - I mean, if they come from places like Australia - why can't they stay there? And take all their furry 8 legged relatives with them :gag: ajaj1 06-10-2008, 20:44 Even my cats walk the other way if they see "critters" or is it just I feed them too well for them to care and come to my rescue.... |
