I don’t know if its come to anybody else's attention but there seems to be a constant problem with the street lights on herries road. It’s the stretch between the old texico petrol station and the Wednesday ground.

It seems there's always a number of lights out especially around the five archer’s bridge. In all the years I’ve lived up here, there never seems to be a time when all the lights are working for more than 3 or 4 days.

It mite not be apparent to people travelling up and down in cars but when your walking up and you can barley see your hand in front of your face its very daunting. This is a long running problem and I can’t understand why it never gets fixed and when it does only lasts for a few days.

Anybody have any ideas why this problem keeps recurring week after week?

I live on that stretch of road and cant say I have noticed! Although to be honest I try my hardest not to venture out at night round here that much anyway. Not that I have ever had any trouble. I assume the lights aren't smashed, as that would be self explanatory, don't know why they would keep going though.

I have noticed my house lights go a lot more than in any other house I have lived. Perhaps they give us second rate electricity up here!! :D

Report faulty streetlights to Streetforce. If there is a section fault, they in turn will inform Yorkshire Electricy.

Archer's? We've always called it the Five Arches bridge. Maybe it's where Robin Hood practised ;)
