Hi
I have a 9 week old dalmatian x whippet puppy.
In a few weeks time I would like to start going to obedience classes with her. These will have to be in an evening.
The problem I have is that she is profoundly deaf, so I need a class that is prepared to take her on.
Does anyone know of any?
Many Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I would be more than happy to take the pair of you (and whoever else may want to come along to train with you) :)

The only thing is, I'm not sure yet when my next course is starting if you drop me an email to training@pawsitivelypets.co.uk I can discuss it with you.

I am currently running Fun Obedience Courses for any age, breed etc. that are 8 weeks long and am planning a Puppy Learning Course which would be 10 weeks old but only open to puppies under 16 weeks of age at the start of the course. We have no more than 6 dogs in each class to ensure I can spend time with each dog and owner and it's not too stressful for the dogs.

If you want to see how we train at the classes take a look at www.pawsitivelypets.co.uk/training.html - we use positive, reward based methods and tend to teach hand signals as part of the course anyway.

If I don't hear from you, good luck and enjoy her :D

I can highly reccommend lottie's classes, we are attending at the moment and all of the dogs there love it:). Lottie is a great trainer and will work with each person individually if need be to make sure that everyone can get the basics. Good luck with your little pup

I know several people whose dogs are deaf and have been able to be trained up, I would go with Lottie her class sounds fun.
I might book Dave in for a class or 3
