Sideways is released on DVD this Monday (16th May)! I've preordered my copy and plan to uncork a bottle of Californian Pinot in celebration of the event. Anybody else seen this little gem of a movie? Anybody else planning to buy it?

Apparently, following the release of the movie there was a massive increase in the demand for Californian Pinot, in particular the Hartley & Ostini Hitching Post Highliner, which was practically drunk dry.

My only concern is that the DVD does in fact arrive on Monday.

I notice you won't be drinking Merlot!

If you did, I think the main character in the movie would leap out of the screen and say 'Stop - I refuse to be part of this film as long as you are drinking Merlot'

If he does, I hope the two gorgeous female characters leap out of the screen too. If they do, PM me and I'll join you. You can snuggle up to Mia and I'll snuggle up to the Japanese lady with the motorbike (I think she could do with some TLC after her recent encounter).

Its the best movie I've seen so far this year.
